About Brec's Reports . . .

Brec periodically sent back hand-written reports of his trip to me, his brother John. These reports were typed up his first wife, Mary Ann, who then sent e-mailed them to me for formatting and editing. These were turned into over sixty short (3-5 pages) sections and sent to a large e-mail list of friends, family, and otherwise interested parties as they were ready to go.

However, Brec concentrated more on his adventures than his reports after leaving the Pacific: his report about arriving in New Zealand was the last one I sent out.

There were 18 trip-leg reports to that point. They cover his trip from the boatyard in Milford, Connecticut to Block Island, Bermuda, the Virgin Islands, Aruba, Panama, the Galapagos Islands, the Marquesas, Tahiti, island-hopping between Tahiti and Bora Bora, time in Papeete, Tahiti, his passages from Tahiti to the Cook Islands, Tonga, and, finally, New Zealand.

They are all available on this site. The 200+ pages of reports are also available by mail in an "Editor's Homecoming Compilation."
